Mechanical:
Base and curve for the housing created this week with a 60 degree chamfer attached to the base. Will be used for testing and prototyping to see what works best for mechanical-electrical integration. Created with wood in the design center shop by Max and Andrew.
Approximately 50% of the bogie chassis mock-up is completed
Mock-up is primarily for electrical, track, and switch-arm
Design dimensions will be adjusted again based on the dimension demands of the electrical team
The majority of the electrical components were placed inside the bogie in order to determine placements of the electronics
Parts are starting to get 3D printed ie Axle Clamp
Electrical:
The MQTT protocol has been set up and commands can be published as well as received. The code for parsing JSON files has been written but testing is still required, since the MQTT server has been down.
Worked with mechanical to ensure size adjustments were made in order to fit a majority of the components
Motors have been ordered from Amazon, ETA is the 19th
Lidar - Connected directly to the raspberry pi after 8 hours of work.
